LOT Polish Airlines launches direct flights from Warsaw to Riyadh

On the 4th of June 2024, LOT Polish Airlines inaugurated its first direct flight to Riyadh, marking the airline’s expansion into its second destination on the Arabian Peninsula, following Dubai. This new route adds Riyadh to the list of new destinations launched by LOT Polish Airlines in 2024, which also includes Tashkent, Athens, and Oradea.

The introduction of this direct flight to Riyadh comes at an opportune time, as Saudi Arabia continues to attract global travellers with its unique blend of cultural heritage, modern landmarks, and traditional hospitality. The Vision 2030 initiative is driving the expansion of Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector, and with the introduction of an online visa programme, citizens of the EU, UK, and US can now easily access the country’s many attractions.

LOT Polish Airlines will operate direct flights between Poland and Saudi Arabia three times a week. Departing from Warsaw Chopin Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 3:20 p.m., the Boeing 737 MAX 8 will make its return journey from Riyadh on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1:25 a.m. local time. The flight duration to Riyadh is 5 hours and 45 minutes, while the return trip takes 5 hours and 30 minutes.

“As the national carrier, we strive to be the first choice and partner for passengers in Poland and the CEE region, offering new travel opportunities. The new route to Riyadh exemplifies our commitment to expanding LOT Polish Airlines’ international network. This direct connection between Warsaw and Riyadh opens up significant opportunities for both tourism and business sectors. Riyadh, as a vibrant hub for culture and commerce, will benefit from dynamic exchanges that will bring mutual benefits to both regions,” said Michał Fijoł, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines.

Travel advisors can leverage this new route to offer clients direct access to Riyadh, enhancing travel itineraries with the convenience and efficiency of LOT Polish Airlines’ services.
