Saudi Winter events calendar 2024-25 launched by STA

The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has officially launched the Saudi Winter events calendar for 2024-2025. Spanning from October 2024 until the end of the first quarter in 2025, this grand showcase of Saudi Arabia’s thriving winter tourism scene promises to captivate visitors with a dazzling array of activities and experiences across seven of the Kingdom’s most iconic destinations: Riyadh, Jeddah, AlUla, the Red Sea, the Eastern Region, Madinah, and Hail.

The Saudi Winter calendar forms part of the larger Saudi Winter Program, a meticulously curated initiative designed to highlight Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural, historical, and natural landscapes. The program boasts over 1,000 tourist experiences and events, in addition to more than 500 unique offers, making it the most extensive winter tourism push the Kingdom has seen. Whether you are a thrill-seeker, a culture enthusiast, or someone in search of serenity, there is something for every traveller to explore.

Among the standout offerings are the Kingdom’s most celebrated festivals, including Riyadh Season, Diriyah Season, AlUla Season, and Madinah Season. Speaking at the official launch of the Saudi Winter calendar, Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, the Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors at the STA, said “With unprecedented support from the country’s leadership for the tourism sector, and through the integrated efforts of the tourism stakeholders and private sector partners, we are launching this year’s winter events calendar as part of the Saudi Winter Program. This raises our ambitions and expectations for achieving new record-breaking milestones, reflecting the continuous efforts of the tourism sector and ongoing campaigns targeting local and international markets.”

These sentiments were echoed by STA CEO Fahd Hamidaddin, who emphasised the remarkable growth that Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector has achieved in recent years. He said he welcomed tourists from around the world to enjoy the diverse events and programs offered by this year’s Saudi Winter Program, which, he said, has tripled the number of global and specialized activities compared to last year, alongside unprecedented offers and packages catering to the needs of various types of tourists from all demographics.
