Jetex set to run private terminal at Red Sea International airport

Red Sea Global (RSG) has announced a partnership with Dubai-based Jetex to operate the private aviation terminal at Red Sea International Airport (RSI). This marks a pivotal step in redefining the private aviation experience on Saudi Arabia’s stunning western coastline.

Private jet travel has seen extraordinary growth in recent years, driven by increasing demand for exclusive, convenient, and personalised travel experiences. The rise of ultra-high-net-worth individuals globally, combined with a renewed emphasis on privacy, health, and seamless travel, has firmly established private aviation as the preferred choice for the world’s elite. In 2023, the private jet market reached record levels of activity, as travellers sought to bypass the complexities of commercial air travel and enjoy direct access to luxury destinations.

For the ultra-high-end resorts in the Red Sea region, this trend is pivotal to their success. Designed to cater to the world’s most discerning guests, these resorts rely on premium connectivity to reflect their exceptional standards. The presence of a bespoke private aviation terminal at Red Sea International Airport ensures that travellers arriving by private jet experience an effortless transition into the luxurious surroundings of the region. This combination of exclusive access and outstanding hospitality positions the Red Sea as a leading destination for the growing market of private aviation travellers.

Jetex, a Dubai-based leader in private aviation, has built a global reputation for excellence in executive travel services. With a network spanning major international hubs, the company specialises in operating private terminals, ground handling, and bespoke concierge services. Known for its innovation and commitment to sustainability, Jetex has consistently pushed boundaries in luxury aviation, blending cutting-edge technology with personalised experiences. Its partnership with Red Sea International Airport marks the company’s first major venture into Saudi Arabia, bringing its expertise to a destination poised to redefine high-end tourism.

The agreement, signed between Jetex and daa International, the operator of RSI, reflects a shared commitment to blending sustainability, innovation, and opulence in aviation services. The collaboration positions RSI as a premier gateway for discerning travelers visiting The Red Sea destination.

John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, remarked:
“With RSI, we were determined to create an airport that seamlessly blends beautiful design, exceptional experiences, and a commitment to honoring nature. With Jetex onboard, guests using our private aviation terminal will experience elevated levels of service that reflect the very best of The Red Sea destination.”

A Design that Redefines Private Aviation

RSI’s architectural design is both innovative and thoughtful. The main terminal comprises five pods, each functioning as an independent mini-terminal, with one exclusively reserved for private aviation. Jetex will outfit and operate this terminal, providing end-to-end private jet services, including aircraft turnarounds, concierge services, and eco-friendly airport transfers.

This project marks Jetex’s first significant venture into Saudi Arabia. Adel Mardini, Founder and CEO of Jetex, expressed enthusiasm: “Jetex is excited to embark on its first major venture in Saudi Arabia through the innovative Red Sea International Airport. Together with daa International and Red Sea Global, we aim to transform the airport into a top-tier destination that resonates with the most discerning travelers.”

Jetex’s involvement also aligns with RSI’s sustainability ethos, incorporating luxury electric transfers and environmentally conscious practices into its operations.

Red Sea Project Gains Momentum

The Red Sea project is rapidly ramping up, with four hotels already operational and Desert Rock Resort expecting its first guests later this month. International visitors can now access the destination via RSI, which began receiving regular domestic flights in September 2023. By April 2024, RSI launched its first international route with a twice-weekly connection to Dubai International Airport.

Michael White, Chief Commercial Officer of RSI, commented: “By partnering with Jetex, we reaffirm our service promise to the world. Together, we will pioneer new global standards in private aviation, consistent with the unparalleled service quality of The Red Sea destination.”

Strategically located, RSI offers excellent connectivity, with 85% of the global population within eight hours of flying time and 250 million people reachable within just three hours.
