Saudi Arabia’s northern region of Hail is preparing to host the Hail Investment Forum 2025 on 17 May, attracting prominent local and international investors, entrepreneurs, and government officials eager to explore the region’s vast investment potential. This strategic event underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to diversifying its economy in alignment with its ambitious Vision 2030, focusing significantly on tourism as a catalyst for sustainable economic growth.

Tourism: a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s vision 2030
Tourism has become a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s diversification strategy, offering lucrative opportunities driven by the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and rapidly developing infrastructure. With a targeted investment exceeding USD 800 billion in tourism-related projects nationwide, the country is rapidly becoming a global tourism powerhouse, offering investors unparalleled growth prospects.
Hail occupies a central location in the north of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It connects five administrative regions: Al-Jawf, the Northern Borders, Qassim, Medina, and Tabuk. The Hail region stands out as an exceptional investment destination, blending historical richness, unique geographic attributes, and significant logistical advantages. Historically renowned as a crossroads for ancient trade routes, Hail offers visitors a captivating blend of archaeological wonders, heritage sites, and vibrant cultural traditions. This region boasts UNESCO World Heritage-listed rock art sites at Jubbah and Shuwaymis, ancient forts, and lush oases, creating an attractive proposition for both cultural and adventure tourism.

Strategic location and infrastructure advantages
Investing in Hail is further strengthened by its strategic geographical position, acting as a natural hub connecting Saudi Arabia’s northern provinces with the rest of the Kingdom. The forum will highlight Hail’s well-established infrastructure and logistics services, including extensive road networks and developing transport facilities, bolstering its competitive advantage as a tourism and commercial hub.
The Hail Investment Forum 2025 promises to showcase more than 125 carefully curated investment opportunities across multiple sectors, with tourism prominently featured. Through nine engaging panel discussions, 42 expert speakers will address key topics including economy, investment strategies, sustainable tourism development, environmental sustainability, and emerging future trends shaping the global and regional investment landscapes.

To further energise the investment climate, the forum will launch six innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing investor engagement and facilitating smoother public-private sector collaborations. An ambitious goal has been set to finalise at least 12 major cooperation agreements during the event, demonstrating clear commitment from both government authorities and the private sector to drive impactful, tangible outcomes.
Investors attending the forum will find Hail an increasingly appealing destination given Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving regulatory framework, supportive investment incentives, and a robust governmental commitment to ease of doing business. These conditions, combined with Hail’s unique attributes and growing tourism demand, offer investors both short-term gains and significant long-term value.

“The Hail region possesses extensive areas highly suitable for development and investment across multiple sectors, alongside numerous promising opportunities and competitive advantages awaiting enhanced marketing and promotion”, said Professor Hani bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi, Head of Hail Chamber of Commerce.
“The Ha’il region boasts unique assets, a rich heritage, and diverse geography. I encourage both the business community and local residents to actively invest in and cultivate Ha’il’s competitive advantages, leveraging its strategic location and promising economic sectors,” echoed Dr Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce.
Mashar Park: Hail Region unveils ambitious SAR350 million ecotourism initiative – underpinning positive perspectives for broader investment across the region
The Governor of Hail Region, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, has launched a SAR350 million Mashar Park project, significantly boosting the region’s ecotourism potential. The ambitious project, covering an expansive 923,000 square metres, is set in Wadi Mashar, nestled within Hail Region’s scenic Aja Mountains.
Wadi Mashar is renowned for its captivating natural beauty, characterised by striking pink granite formations, natural springs, abundant palm and acacia trees, and diverse flora. Its soft purple soil and flowing streams—especially vivid after rainfall—have long made it a popular destination for nature lovers.

Recognising its ecological importance, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture previously designated Wadi Mashar as a national nature park. Community-driven initiatives have seen the planting of over 5,000 seedlings, aimed at combating desertification and enhancing biodiversity.
The new Mashar Park initiative will feature a range of ecotourism and recreational facilities, including equestrian, shooting, and swimming academies, a wilderness resort, scenic hiking trails, and a boutique hotel comprising 21 units. This development is designed not only to elevate the quality of life for residents and visitors but also to position Wadi Mashar as a leading model for sustainable development within the Kingdom.
All in all, the Hail Investment Forum 2025 is set to position Hail firmly on the international investment map, spotlighting its significant tourism and business opportunities. As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its visionary journey towards economic diversification and global integration, Hail stands ready as a thriving gateway for investors seeking to capitalise on one of the world’s most dynamic emerging markets.
