The unveiling of Beit Jokhdar, Beit Al-Rayess, and Beit Kedwan marks a pivotal moment for Saudi Arabia’s tourism, aligning with UNESCO’s guidelines that honoured Al Balad as a World Heritage Site in 2014.

Each hotel, meticulously restored to honour its unique architectural heritage, offers guests an immersive experience in the Kingdom’s storied past.

Beit Jokhdar stands out with its ornate wooden balconies, while Beit Al-Rayess opens its doors to a stunning courtyard, and Beit Kedwan occupies a prime spot near Naseef Square.

These establishments are part of a broader initiative to rejuvenate 34 heritage buildings, reflecting the Kingdom’s dedication to cultural preservation.

Al Balad Development Company, tasked with the management of these hotels, aims to curate an authentic hospitality experience, encapsulating the warm spirit and deep-rooted traditions of the region.

The effort to refurbish over 600 historical edifices within Jeddah’s Historic District underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to combining luxury with heritage.

Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Issa, Director General of the Jeddah Historic District Program, emphasised the significance of this restoration in providing an unmatched visitor experience.

Jamil bin Hassan Ghaznawi, CEO of Al Balad Development Company, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the joint venture as a cornerstone for transforming Al Balad into a global tourism and business hub.

As guests walk through the doors of these heritage hotels, managed by Albalad Hospitality, they’ll be greeted with a blend of authentic Saudi heritage and contemporary comforts.

The hotels will be characterized by the warmth derived from the deep-rooted culture of the region and the commitment to preserving its heritage and developing rich experiences to explore, making Jeddah Historic District a destination of choice for all visitors from across the world.
