A new cruise line, Aroya Cruises, will offer guests the opportunity to sail along the coast of Saudi Arabia, discovering its hidden gems and cultural treasures, while enjoying the comfort and luxury of a cruise ship.
Aroya, a blend of “Arabian” and “roya” (meaning vision), is a new venture by Cruise Saudi, a company owned by the Public Investment Fund – a leader in developing Saudi’s tourism industry. Aroya Cruises aims to showcase the best of Saudi Arabia from the sea, offering Arabian experiences that reflect the country’s heritage, beauty, and hospitality.
Guests will be able to explore Saudi’s diverse destinations, learn about its rich history and culture, and indulge in its cuisine and entertainment, all while being pampered by a friendly and professional crew.
Aroya Cruises will also set a high standard of quality and service in the region, with state-of-the-art facilities, shore excursions, and onboard activities that cater to the needs and preferences of its passengers.
The cruise line will operate as an independent brand within Cruise Saudi, with its own operational and management team led by Ghassan Khan, a veteran in the cruise industry.
Khan says: “We are thrilled to launch Aroya Cruises as a core element of Saudi’s development as an international cruising destination. We want to offer our guests a unique opportunity to experience Saudi Arabia in a new and exciting way.” Aroya Cruises is expected to announce its itineraries and packages in the coming months, as part of its commercial launch. The cruise line will contribute to Cruise Saudi’s ambitious strategy to attract 1.3 million cruise visitors by 2035 and create 50,000 direct and indirect jobs in the sector.
Lars Clasen, CEO of Cruise Saudi, says: “This is a historical milestone for Cruise Saudi and for Saudi Arabia. Aroya Cruises will be a game-changer in the regional cruise market and a catalyst for Saudi’s tourism growth.” An adventure of a lifetime awaits those who book their dream cruise with Aroya Cruises. More details on how to join this Arabian voyage will be revealed soon.
