Red Sea Global, in collaboration with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, has initiated plans for a new high-end wellness retreat and residential community at Triple Bay within the planned Amaala project in Saudi Arabia.
Four Seasons’ foray into this sector with its planned 220 luxury accommodations—encompassing standard rooms, suites, and villas with private pools—as well as 26 residential villas, marks a significant milestone for the brand in the region. The development is set to cater to a high-end market with a strong emphasis on regeneration, wellness, and harmony with the natural environment.
John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea Global, has stressed the intention for Amaala to pioneer a unique coastal lifestyle centered on wellness. The upcoming Four Seasons venture is strategically designed to align with this philosophy, seeking to foster a deeper connection with the natural world and support overall well-being.
The resort’s design and offerings are expected to be consistent with Amaala’s guiding principles of sustainability and wellness. Four Seasons aims to elevate the guest and resident experience by tailoring wellness programs to individual needs.
Bart Carnahan, President Global Business Development and Portfolio Management for Four Seasons, underscored the significance of this development, indicating that it represents a major expansion within the Saudi Arabian market for the brand and reinforces the partnership’s shared dedication to delivering exceptional luxury and wellness experiences.
Planned features of the resort include an upscale spa with an Organic Spa Garden, a range of therapeutic treatments, a partnership with renowned fitness expert Harley Pasternak to provide customized fitness regimes, and a variety of outdoor pursuits such as hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and golfing on a 27-hole seaside golf course.
The property is also set to offer six culinary venues, versatile event spaces, a broad children’s program, and a Discovery Centre to acquaint guests with the local culture and environment.
U+A architects, tasked with the resort’s design, are crafting a space that synergizes with the surrounding landscape, nestled between the Hijazi Mountains and the Red Sea, affording guests expansive views and tranquil natural spaces. Martin Dufresne of U+A highlighted the strategic use of the natural setting to foster a sense of peace and a connection with nature throughout the property.
As part of Amaala’s larger development strategy, which aims to start welcoming guests by 2025, this project will contribute to the expansion of Four Seasons within Saudi Arabia, joining its existing and forthcoming properties, and is anticipated to grow to host over 3,900 hotel rooms and 1,200 luxury residences upon completion.
