Indigo announced for NEOM’s Oxagon

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement for a Hotel Indigo property in Oxagon, a coastal industrial city in NEOM, located in the Northwest region of Saudi Arabia. The property is set to reflect the city’s vision of “a new urban model where industry and communities coexist”.

The 250-key Hotel Indigo property will be located in the Oxagon’s first residential community and will open in 2026.  The hotel will be a lifestyle destination with retail and dining concepts including cafés, a pool lounge, and a specialty restaurant. Guests will also enjoy leisure and wellness facilities such as a spa and 24-hour fitness centre.

Oxagon is redefining the traditional industrial city, putting people, innovation, and sustainability at the core. The city’s neighbourhoods will be fully walkable, with sustainable mass transit and micro mobility solutions. It will have a research and innovation campus and a next-generation sustainable port with an automated and integrated supply chain.

Vishal Wanchoo, CEO of Oxagon said: “Hotel Indigo’s vision to create a boutique neighbourhood hotel reflecting Oxagon’s ethos of harmony between people, technology and nature makes IHG the right partner for our first upscale property. As our industrial and innovation ecosystems progress, these agreements ensure that exceptional hospitality experiences are available to tenants, residents, and visitors.”

The partnership is the latest agreement between a hotel brand and NEOM’s Hotel Development division which is building a future-centric hospitality ecosystem in NEOM.
