Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar, General Supervisor of KAPL, highlighted the library’s dedication to advancing the Kingdom’s cultural and tourism objectives. “This initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s unique blend of authenticity and modernity, showcasing its cultural and civilisational heritage while fostering coexistence and acceptance of diverse global cultures,” he remarked.

Established in 1985 in Riyadh, the King Abdulaziz Public Library is one of Saudi Arabia’s most prominent cultural institutions. Its main branch is located in the Al-Murabba district of Riyadh, adjacent to the historic Murabba Palace, once a royal residence of King Abdulaziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia. KAPL also operates branches dedicated to children’s literature and women’s studies, ensuring accessibility to knowledge for all segments of society.
The library is renowned for its extensive collections, including historical manuscripts, rare documents, global historical images, artistic icons, and miniatures representing a range of historical and artistic eras. Its role extends beyond that of a traditional library, acting as a dynamic cultural hub that hosts events, exhibitions, and initiatives promoting Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage.
