Radisson Hotel Group is ramping up its presence in Saudi Arabia as it looks to play a leading role in shaping the Kingdom’s hospitality landscape under Vision 2030. At this month’s Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) in Riyadh, the global hotel giant confirmed its commitment to continued growth across the country’s booming tourism sector.
With nearly half of the group’s Middle East portfolio now anchored in Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom has become a strategic centrepiece of the Group’s regional ambitions. The Group currently operates or is developing 47 properties across Saudi Arabia, ranging from contemporary city hotels to properties designed for religious tourism — a clear sign of its strategy to serve multiple visitor segments.
New openings for Radisson in Riyadh, Madinah and beyond
Recent milestones include the opening of Radisson’s very first hotel in Madinah, the Radisson Hotel Madinah, strengthening its footprint across the holy cities. In Riyadh, the Group launched the 310-key Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre, Riyadh Minhal, underlining its long-term confidence in the Saudi capital’s evolving business and MICE markets.
Additional openings are on the way in 2025. These include the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Al Sahafa and Radisson Hotel Jeddah Tahlia Street, both slated to open in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the high-end Radisson Collection Residence, Riyadh and the expansive Radisson Hotel & Residences, Makkah Thakher City are expected in the fourth quarter, catering directly to the Kingdom’s growing leisure and religious tourism segments.
Strengthening partnerships to support Vision 2030
The European Hotel Group is also deepening its ties within Saudi Arabia’s tourism ecosystem. A notable agreement with Knowledge Economic City (KEC) will bring a new Park Inn by Radisson to Madinah’s Islamic World District. In parallel, the Group recently signed an MoU with the Saudi Tourism Authority at Arabian Travel Market (ATM), reinforcing its collaborative approach to supporting the Kingdom’s tourism objectives.

“Saudi Arabia remains one of our most dynamic and strategic markets globally,” said Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group. “Our continued investment and development in the Kingdom reflect both our confidence in the Saudi market and our commitment to delivering hospitality solutions that meet the needs of our guests and owners. Our ambition is to work hand in hand with visionary partners to help shape a sustainable and thriving future for tourism in the region.”
A regional leader under Vision 2030
Overall, Radisson Hotel Group now boasts a portfolio of almost 100 hotels in the Middle East, with plans to reach 150 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments by 2030. Saudi Arabia’s central role in this expansion highlights its importance not only as a destination for religious travel but as a broader hub for leisure, business and mega-events.
Following what it called a record-breaking global performance in 2024, Radisson plans to build on this momentum through tailored brand strategies, operational excellence and close partnerships with local stakeholders. As Saudi Arabia continues to drive investment into tourism infrastructure and attract millions of new visitors under Vision 2030, Radisson appears firmly positioned to capture the next wave of growth.
