Accor to run luxurious Rixos resort project on Saudi Arabia’s east coast

A transformative tourism and entertainment project is set to redefine Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, marking a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Valued at SAR 1.4 billion (approximately US$372 million), the development will be located on the picturesque Half Moon Beach near Dammam, a major urban hub. The project is the first all-inclusive coastal resort in the region under the renowned Rixos brand and will be managed by Accor.

A new chapter for Half Moon Beach

Half Moon Beach, celebrated for its serene coastline and family-friendly attractions, is one of the Eastern Province‘s most iconic destinations. While much of Saudi Arabia’s recent tourism efforts have concentrated on the Red Sea and the western coast, this project brings a much-needed diversification to the Kingdom’s tourism portfolio. Positioned close to Dammam, the resort aims to attract both domestic and international visitors, offering a fresh addition to Saudi Arabia’s growing reputation as a global destination.

Spanning over 262,000 square metres, the Rixos resort will feature 400 hotel rooms, 41 luxurious villas, and a wide array of restaurants, cafés, and entertainment facilities. By combining modern amenities with the natural beauty of Half Moon Beach, the development promises to deliver an unparalleled coastal experience for families, leisure seekers, and luxury travellers.
