1.7 million visit Jeddah Season 2024

The recently concluded Jeddah Season 2024 has proven to be a resounding success, attracting over 1.7 million visitors from both within and outside Saudi Arabia.

Spanning 52 days, the festival showcased a wide range of entertainment activities, further cementing Jeddah’s status as a premier tourist destination in the Kingdom. This year’s event not only entertained but also aligned with Saudi Arabia’s broader objectives under Vision 2030, which aims to boost the tourism sector as a key driver of economic diversification and improve the quality of life for citizens and residents.

One of the standout features of the season was the City Walk area, a hub of interactive experiences and action-packed games that captivated visitors of all ages.

Families were particularly drawn to the Warner Bros. Discovery: Celebrate Every Story area, which provided an immersive environment where beloved stories and iconic characters came to life. Meanwhile, art enthusiasts enjoyed the Imagine Monet exhibition, which featured 200 of Claude Monet’s most famous paintings, allowing visitors to engage deeply with the French artist’s legacy.

Jeddah Season also offered a unique opportunity to explore the Jeddah Historic District, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has preserved the city’s ancient social life spanning more than 400 years. This experience enriched visitors’ understanding of Jeddah’s rich cultural heritage and historical significance.

Sports fans were not left out, with the Motosurf International Cup and the Summer Speed Festival at the Jeddah Corniche offering thrilling sports tournaments. These events added another layer of excitement to the season, providing attendees with unforgettable moments and spectacular shows.

The success of Jeddah Season 2024 reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to position Jeddah as a global cultural and tourism destination. This initiative is part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy, which seeks to create a sustainable entertainment sector that enhances the quality of life and contributes to economic growth.

By developing Jeddah’s tourism and cultural offerings, the government aims to increase non-oil GDP and attract international visitors, further boosting the local economy and creating jobs.
